What to Expect
If it is your first time with us, you will have a consultation with one of our IV Nurses and integrative medicine Doctors or Nurse Practitioners. In this consultation, we discuss what you want to achieve from having the infusions. From there we will recommend vitamins, minerals and boosters that can support you health and wellbeing goals. Alternatively, you can select from our comprehensive range of pre designed IV infusions.
If you would like to get a NAD+ infusion, please call to book this appointment to ensure stock availability. Note NAD+ infusions can take 2-6 hours so please allow plenty of time.
After your initial consultation, your IV Nurse will fill the IV fluid bag with the vitamins and nutrients you have decided on. They will then sanitise and prepare the area (usually an area on the arm) for cannulation. While cannulating the vein, you will feel a pin prick sensation, similar to a blood test. Once the infusion is running, most people report feeling nothing but coldness in the area (we overcome this by applying a heat pack for your comfort).
Then it’s time to sit back and relax! You can work, have a hot drink, or even have a nap during your infusion. Most 500ml infusions will take 20-40 minutes and most 1L infusions will take 40-60 minutes. If you are really short on time some (not all), of our infusions can be givenin a 250ml bag, you get the same amount of vitamins and minerals just with less carrier fluid and these can take 15-30 minutes to be administered. Some of our infusions, such as NAD+ will take a little longer!
After your infusion is all finished, your IV Nurse will carefully remove the cannula and you will be replenished ready to take on the day!
You should be able to return to any of your usual activities post infusion we just recommend you do not do any heavy lifting with the arm that the infusion occurred in.
