Beauty and Skin Support IV Infusion
Healthy skin rests on the everyday basics: hydration, nutrition, sleep and sun protection. A beauty and skin support infusion at IV Health Sunshine Coast is a personalised infusion of fluids and nutrients, with comprehensive screening before every session. It is not a cosmetic treatment and does not promise appearance results.
What Is a Beauty and Skin Support Infusion
This infusion delivers fluids along with vitamins and nutrients directly into your bloodstream through an IV drip. It is designed to top up hydration and nutrients that the body draws on every day, in a formulation that is personalised to you.
The vitamins and nutrients in your infusion are selected at your consultation, where they are clinically appropriate and included in your script. If you are weighing up a smaller, shorter option, your nurse can talk you through whether a booster may suit you.
What This Infusion May Support
The focus of this infusion is topping up hydration and nutrients, in a formulation personalised to you. Individual needs vary, and your suitability is assessed before every session.
To be clear about what this is and is not: it is not a cosmetic or anti-ageing treatment, it does not whiten, lighten or brighten skin, and it is not a treatment for any skin condition such as acne, eczema or pigmentation. It is not a substitute for good skincare, sun protection, sleep and nutrition. If you have a specific skin concern, please see your healthcare provider or a dermatologist.
Skin Health Starts With the Basics
Healthy skin rests on foundations that no infusion can replace: drinking enough water, eating a balanced diet, sleeping well, protecting your skin from the sun, and a skincare routine that suits you. These do the heavy lifting.
An infusion tops up hydration and nutrient levels, and some people choose to include it as part of a broader wellness routine, in consultation with their practitioner. We do not make promises about appearance, because skin health depends on many factors.
Screening and Consultation Before Your Infusion
Comprehensive screening sits behind every session at IV Health Sunshine Coast. Before any infusion, a nurse reviews your health history, current medications and wellbeing goals, and an integrative medical practitioner confirms clinical appropriateness and, where suitable, issues a personalised script. No referral is required for this infusion.
Baseline blood tests are not mandatory for everyone, though they are often recommended, and your suitability is discussed at your nurse consultation and confirmed by the practitioner before a script is issued. You can take our pre-treatment blood test list to your healthcare provider if testing is suggested. A complimentary discovery call with a nurse via telehealth to determine if this is a good fit for you is available.
How to Book a Beauty and Skin Support Infusion
Your first visit runs around 60 to 90 minutes because it includes your consultation and scripting, and later visits are shorter once your script is in place. Here is how the process works, step by step. You can read more on our Our Process page.
Step 1: Nurse Consultation
Your nurse reviews your health history, medications and wellbeing goals, and talks through what you are hoping for. This is where we get to know you and make sure this infusion is a sensible fit.
Step 2: Practitioner Consultation and Clinical Scripting
An integrative medical practitioner confirms that treatment is clinically appropriate for you and, where suitable, issues a personalised vitamin and nutrient prescription. Your script is valid for 12 months, so return visits within that time do not repeat this step unless you need something new added.
Step 3: Your Infusion
A registered nurse administers your infusion while you settle into a recliner chair with a massage function, in a calm, monitored setting. Single-use consumables are used every session, and an infusion usually runs for around 30 to 60 minutes.
Step 4: Follow Up and Review
Because individual needs and responses vary, session frequency is decided in consultation with your practitioner rather than set by a fixed schedule. Follow-up sessions are scheduled as needed, with periodic reviews so your plan can be adjusted over time.
Safety and Transparency
Every infusion is administered by a registered nurse in a monitored environment, using single-use consumables each session. Our team brings more than 40 years of combined experience in nursing, midwifery and integrative medicine, and safe prescribing sits at the centre of how we work.
Because the nutrients are delivered intravenously, they enter your bloodstream directly rather than through digestion. For some people, and where clinically assessed as appropriate, that route of delivery may be a suitable option, though it is not a replacement for a balanced diet and the everyday basics, and it is not a substitute for medical care.
After your session, your nurse talks you through some simple aftercare. Keep hydrating through the day, aiming for 1 to 2 litres of water, eat whole, nutrient-dense meals, and rest if you need to. Keep to gentle movement and avoid strenuous exercise and heavy lifting with your infusion arm for 24 hours, minimise alcohol, and reduce caffeine for the rest of the day. Your nurse also provides aftercare specific to the formulation you receive.

FAQ
What Is in a Beauty and Skin Support Infusion?
The formulation is personalised to you. It is based on fluids, with vitamins and nutrients added where they are clinically appropriate and included in your script. It is delivered through an IV drip, and your nurse and practitioner tailor it to you at your consultation.
Will This Infusion Improve My Skin?
It is not a cosmetic treatment, and we do not claim that it changes how your skin looks. What it can do is top up hydration and nutrients where clinically appropriate. The foundations still matter most: water, a balanced diet, sleep, sun protection and a skincare routine that suits you.
Does It Whiten, Lighten or Brighten Skin?
No. We do not offer skin whitening, lightening or brightening, and we make no claims of that kind. This infusion is about topping up hydration and specific nutrients, nothing more.
Is It a Treatment for Acne, Eczema or Pigmentation?
No. This infusion is not a treatment for any skin condition. If you have a specific concern such as acne, eczema or pigmentation, the right step is to see your healthcare provider or a dermatologist, who can assess and advise on appropriate care.
Do I Need a Referral?
No referral is required for this infusion. Like all our infusions, it is still practitioner-scripted, which means a nurse and an integrative medical practitioner review your health and confirm that treatment is appropriate before your session. You are welcome to start with a complimentary discovery call to ask any questions first.
How Long Does It Take?
An infusion usually runs for around 30 to 60 minutes. Your first visit takes a little longer, around 60 to 90 minutes in total, because it includes your nurse consultation and practitioner scripting. Later visits are shorter once your script is in place.
Can I Have the Infusion at Home?
Yes. Mobile visits are available throughout the Sunshine Coast and hinterland, and rural visits to Bundaberg, Monto and Crows Nest are offered by expressions of interest, subject to location and clinician availability. The clinical process is the same wherever your session takes place.
Are There Any Risks or Side Effects?
Your infusion is administered by a registered nurse in a monitored setting, using single-use consumables. As with any IV treatment, some people notice minor discomfort, bruising or redness at the cannula site. Less commonly, IV treatment can cause vein irritation, infection at the cannula site or a reaction to an ingredient in your formulation, and it is not suitable for everyone, including some people with heart or kidney conditions. This is why comprehensive screening comes before every session, and your nurse talks you through the risks, what to expect and your aftercare.
How Much Does It Cost?
Because your infusion is personalised, the cost depends on your formulation and whether any additions are included in your script. The clearest way to get an accurate price is a consultation, and we also ask that you let us know your budget for the visit so we can work within it. A complimentary discovery call with a nurse via telehealth is available to talk this through.
Hydration and Nutrients, the Considered Way
Because every session is screened, scripted and personalised, a beauty and skin support infusion at IV Health Sunshine Coast is planned around your health history and goals, alongside the basics that matter most.
