Fertility Support IV Infusion

Feeling tired or low on energy is common, and it can have many different causes, so it is worth understanding why. An energy and fatigue support infusion at IV Health Sunshine Coast is a personalised infusion of fluids, vitamins and nutrients, with comprehensive screening before every session.

What Is an Energy and Fatigue Support Infusion

An energy and fatigue support infusion delivers fluids along with vitamins and nutrients directly into your bloodstream through an IV drip. It is designed to top up nutrients that your body draws on every day, in a formulation that is personalised to you rather than chosen from a standard menu.

The vitamins and nutrients in your infusion are selected at your consultation, where they are clinically appropriate and included in your script. If you are weighing up a smaller, faster option, your nurse can talk you through whether a booster may suit you, and you can also explore our other infusion options.

What an Energy and Fatigue Support Infusion May Support

This infusion focuses on topping up vitamins and nutrients, in a formulation personalised to you. Its role is to support your nutrient levels, not to treat tiredness. Individual needs vary, and your suitability is assessed before every session.

People often consider a session during periods such as:

  • Demanding stretches at work, study or with a young family
  • Shift work or travel that has knocked your routine around
  • As part of a broader wellness plan, in consultation with your practitioner

An energy and fatigue support infusion is not a treatment for fatigue, and it is not a substitute for medical care. It is not intended to diagnose or treat any medical condition.

Understanding Fatigue, and Why the Cause Matters

Ongoing or unexplained fatigue deserves proper attention, because it can be linked to things worth identifying, such as low iron, thyroid changes, sleep, stress or other health conditions. If tiredness is persistent or new for you, it is important to see your healthcare provider so the underlying cause can be understood.

Screening matters here too. At your nurse consultation we talk through what has been going on, and baseline blood tests, while not mandatory, are often recommended so treatment is appropriate for you. You can take our pre-treatment blood test list to your healthcare provider. If screening points to something specific, for example low iron, your nurse can talk you through suitable next steps, including whether to see your healthcare provider.

Screening and Consultation Before Your Infusion

Comprehensive screening sits behind every session at IV Health Sunshine Coast. Before any infusion, a nurse reviews your health history, current medications and wellbeing goals, and an integrative medical practitioner confirms clinical appropriateness and, where suitable, issues a personalised script. No referral is required for an energy and fatigue support infusion.

A complimentary discovery call with a nurse via telehealth to determine if this is a good fit for you is available.

How to Book an Energy and Fatigue Support Infusion

Your first visit runs around 60 to 90 minutes because it includes your consultation and scripting, and later visits are shorter once your script is in place. Here is how the process works, step by step. You can read more on our Our Process page.

Your nurse reviews your health history, medications and wellbeing goals, and talks through what has been happening and what you are hoping for. This is where we get to know you and make sure this infusion is a sensible fit.

An integrative medical practitioner confirms that treatment is clinically appropriate for you and, where suitable, issues a personalised vitamin and nutrient prescription. Your script is valid for 12 months, so return visits within that time do not repeat this step unless you need something new added.

A registered nurse administers your infusion while you settle into a recliner chair with a massage function, in a calm, monitored setting. Single-use consumables are used every session, and an infusion usually runs for around 30 to 60 minutes.

Because individual needs and responses vary, session frequency is decided in consultation with your practitioner rather than set by a fixed schedule. Follow-up sessions are scheduled as needed, with periodic reviews so your plan can be adjusted over time.

Safety and Transparency

Every infusion is administered by a registered nurse in a monitored environment, using single-use consumables each session. Our team brings more than 40 years of combined experience in nursing, midwifery and integrative medicine, and safe prescribing sits at the centre of how we work.

Because the nutrients are delivered intravenously, they enter your bloodstream directly rather than through digestion. For some people, and where clinically assessed as appropriate, that route of delivery may be a suitable option, though it is not a replacement for a balanced diet, good sleep and the everyday basics, and it is not a substitute for medical care.

After your session, your nurse talks you through some simple aftercare. Keep hydrating through the day, aiming for 1 to 2 litres of water, eat whole, nutrient-dense meals, and rest if you need to. Keep to gentle movement and avoid strenuous exercise and heavy lifting with your infusion arm for 24 hours, minimise alcohol, and reduce caffeine for the rest of the day. Your nurse also provides aftercare specific to the formulation you receive.

FAQ

The formulation is personalised to you. It is based on fluids, with vitamins and nutrients added where they are clinically appropriate and included in your script. It is delivered through an IV drip, and your nurse and practitioner tailor it to you at your consultation rather than choosing from a fixed menu.

It is not a treatment for fatigue, and it is not a substitute for medical care. Its role is to top up vitamins and nutrients where clinically appropriate, and individual responses vary. If tiredness is ongoing or unexplained, it is important to see your healthcare provider so the cause can be understood.

No referral is required for an energy and fatigue support infusion. Like all our infusions, it is still practitioner-scripted, which means a nurse and an integrative medical practitioner review your health and confirm that treatment is appropriate before your session. You are welcome to start with a complimentary discovery call to ask any questions first.

Tiredness has many possible causes, and low iron or vitamin levels, thyroid changes, sleep and stress are among them, which is why screening matters. Your nurse talks this through at your consultation, baseline blood tests are often recommended, and if results point to something specific, your nurse can talk you through suitable next steps, including whether to see your healthcare provider.

An infusion usually runs for around 30 to 60 minutes. Your first visit takes a little longer, around 60 to 90 minutes in total, because it includes your nurse consultation and practitioner scripting. Later visits are shorter once your script is in place.

Because your infusion is personalised, the cost depends on your formulation and whether any additions are included in your script. The clearest way to get an accurate price is a consultation, and we also ask that you let us know your budget for the visit so we can work within it. A complimentary discovery call with a nurse via telehealth is available to talk this through.

Yes. Mobile visits are available throughout the Sunshine Coast and hinterland, and rural visits to Bundaberg, Monto and Crows Nest are offered by expressions of interest, subject to location and clinician availability. The clinical process is the same wherever your session takes place.

Your infusion is administered by a registered nurse in a monitored setting, using single-use consumables. As with any IV treatment, some people notice minor discomfort, bruising or redness at the cannula site. Less commonly, IV treatment can cause vein irritation, infection at the cannula site or a reaction to an ingredient in your formulation, and it is not suitable for everyone, including some people with heart or kidney conditions. This is why comprehensive screening comes before every session, and your nurse talks you through the risks, what to expect and your aftercare.
