FAQ
Do I need tests before an infusion or booster?
Not always. Your clinician will advise if recent results would help confirm suitability or guide dosing.
What blood tests are typically reviewed?
General health markers and selected nutrients/electrolytes. The exact items depend on your history and goals.
Can I bring recent results from my GP or specialist?
Yes. Results from the last 6–12 months are often useful.
Can IV Health order tests?
We can discuss options for obtaining tests via your GP/ordering practitioner. Not all tests attract a Medicare rebate.
What is HTMA?
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis is a non‑invasive hair sample that provides a longer‑view snapshot of mineral patterns. It is not diagnostic and is interpreted alongside your history and other information.
Is HTMA required to book IV therapy?
No. HTMA is optional.
How are results used?
Your clinician reviews results with you to help guide recommendations and timing.
Will abnormal results stop me from having an infusion/booster?
Possibly. We proceed only where clinically appropriate and may suggest alternatives or referral when needed.
How long do results take?
Blood test timing varies by provider. HTMA timing depends on lab turnaround; we’ll advise current estimates.
What if I don’t want testing?
That’s okay, your clinician will discuss options. In some cases we may defer or modify services until more information is available.
How much do tests cost?
Costs vary by provider and whether a rebate applies. We provide clear information before you proceed.
